Come Visit Us Dec. 19 2009 at Greenpoint Food Market
After months and years of perfecting our handcrafted, small-batch spicy condiments here in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (11222, hell yeah) we're debuting our product at the Greenpoint Food Market from noon till 5PM on December 19, 2009. The location is 129 Russell St at the Church of the Messiah. Please come to savor samples and purchase unique, locally made-and-sourced holiday gifts. Or just stop by to chat us up!
We produce only top-quality chutneys and condiments and focus on the best ingredients (local and organic when possible; noted below) and stewing and canning traditions time-tested for perfection. Every jar is made here in North Brooklyn and scrutinized by the most discerning food-nerd palettes prior to passing approval by The D.P. Chutney Collective.

KERALA PINEAPPLE CHUTNEY
Perfect with holiday hams or roasted duck and equally toothsome with black bean soup and other tropical vegetarian dishes. Or go bold and try a dollop atop vanilla ice cream.

SWEET TOMATO CHUTNEY WITH BLACK MUSTARD SEEDS
Mild in heat but long on flavor. Recommended as an elegant accompaniment to most fish entrees and as a piquant spark to everyday beans and rice. Stir a spoonful into standard spaghetti sauce for an unexpected flavor profile.

GINGERED RAISIN CHUTNEY
Sweet and spicy but not too hot. Great with pork chops, all roasted birds and aged cheddar cheeses. One of our most popular chutneys.

CRANBERRY-GREEN CHILE CHUTNEY
A cold-weather classic. Heat up the winter with this purist chutney of organic Deer Island (Maine) cranberries, fragrant chili peppers and shredded ginger root. Sure to ward off the Common Cold (and possibly H1N1).

PEAR CHUTNEY
Seasonal condiment crafted only with the best NYS ( Cayuga County) fruits and plenty of warming spices. Recommended with bleu and other molded cheeses, all meats and poultry. Makes a less-than-boring PBJ!

APPLE-QUINCE CHUTNEY
Available only in late fall and early winter, composed of select fruits from ASA Farms in the Hudson Valley. Milder in heat. Essential to all cheese plates.

DRIED RED CHILI CHUTNEY
Fire-eaters and all others with a penchant for True Heat will thrill to this hottest of chutneys. A little goes a very long way. Try a teaspoon stirred into a pot of chili or your favorite barbecue sauce.

TRIPLE BERRY CHUTNEY
Nostalgia for Summer of '09 hits big sweet and tangy notes in this "soft" chutney culled from North Jersey farms. Superb with game meats, atop cream cheese as an appetizer and equally delightful on hot buttered toast. Only a few jars left!

IVORY COAST PLANTAIN BREAD
Savory and dense, these African-inspired mini loaves are traditionally served sliced with salted peanuts and relishes. Superb when spread with chutney during tea time or the cocktail hour.
Note: all chutneys, pickles, jams, preserves should be refrigerated upon opening. A few special holiday chutneys should be kept refrigerated and used within a few days. These unique, once-a-year only products will be labeled with storage instructions.
